Marian Cholewa
Research interestsMarian Cholewa received his PhD degree from Institute of Nuclear Physics, Krakow, Poland after working on his project (1982-85) at Brookhaven National Laboratory. His work involved development and applications of Proton and X-ray microprobes in Biology and Medicine. From 1987 to 1998 he had been working at the Micro Analytical Research Centre in the School of Physics at the University of Melbourne in Australia. From 1998 until 2004 he had been a Director of MC Scientific Consulting Pty. Ltd. in Australia. In the period from 2000 to 2007 he had been working at GSI, Darmstadt, Germany (2000-2003), Singapore Synchrotron Light Source in Singapore (2003-2007) and ANKA synchrotron in Karlsruhe, Germany. Since the completion of his MSc degree he has been specializing in developments of a new analytical and microanalytical systems and techniques with ion, X-rays, laser and electron beams and their applications. He has been actively involved or initiated projects in the following key areas:
These and many other research projects resulted in 2 international patents and over 100 publications in international journals and over 50 conference presentations. Current projects include:
