Multi Wire Proportional Chamber (MWPC) for SAXS/WAXS

Following the successful construction and testing of a prototype single wire 1D detector, construction of a 200*200mm multiwire chamber is well advanced. This will be utilised in the Osmic SAXS/WAXS system as a replacement to the current camera. The MWPC readout will be delay-line based and 2D. The capabilities of the MWPC will be explored as well as providing a reference platform for future gas-based X-ray detector designs.
