The Monash Centre for Synchrotron Science (MCSS) encourages and promotes interdepartmental research programs at Monash University which make use of synchrotron science.

MCSS activities include:

The Australian Synchrotron, which came online in 2007, is just over the road from Monash's Clayton campus and we want to help Monash researchers make the most of the unique advantage that our proximity to this fantastic new facility provides.

26/10/09 - ARC Centre for Excellence in Coherent X-Ray Science wins Schools First State Impact Award

CXS, in collaboration with Santa Maria College in Northcote, have been given the award for their program Growing Tall Poppies, which aims to encourage more students, particularly girls, to study physics.
